Spring NEARC 2021 has ended
Welcome to the interactive web schedule for the 2021 Spring NEARC Virtual Conference! For tips on how to navigate this site, visit the "Helpful Info" section. Return to the NEARC website.

NEARC is now on Slack! Slack is a messaging platform that will allow users to connect, network, and discuss all levels of GIS, helping enable our community to be a place for “users helping users." For this year’s spring conference, we will be using Slack as a place to discuss sessions, posters, and to get to know each other better. Want to check it out? Follow this three-step guide:
  1. Create an account and join the community by signing up with this invitation link.
  2. Introduce yourself by posting to the #introductions channel, a dedicated space for new members.
  3. Explore the other channels, join the conversations, and learn more about Slack with this quick getting started guide.
We look forward to seeing you all and working together to continue to make this an open and engaging community of users.

Recordings of presentations are now available to conference registrants. To access, you must be logged in to Sched, click on an agenda item, and then click on the "video stream" button.

NAVIGATING THE SCHEDULE:
The conference schedule is hosted in SCHED which allows you to search within the schedule and filter the schedule to show items only occurring within a certain track. The default view for the schedule is "Simple" which only shows the start time and title of the agenda item. Hover over the button that says "Schedule" to see the different view options. The "Expanded" option will show start and end times, and session description (if there is one). To view all presentations within a track, hover your mouse over the word Track under the Filter by Type heading on the navigation menu, then select the track that you're interested in. To view a presentation within a track and during a concurrent session block, hover your mouse over a concurrent session block under the Filter by Type heading on the navigation menu, then select the track within that block that you're interested in.

BUILDING YOUR AGENDA FOR THE CONFERENCE & JOINING A SESSION ON EVENT DAY:
In order to build your agenda for the conference, and watch a presentation on event day, you must be registered to attend the conference. If you have not yet registered to attend, sign up on the Spring NEARC Conference website. After registering for the conference, you'll receive an email invitation to login to SCHED and create an account using the email address you provided at registration. To add an item to your agenda, simply click on the open circle next to a presentation title. Watch the attendee "how-to" video to learn more. Ten-minutes prior to the scheduled start of the session, the video stream link will display in SCHED to logged-in, pre-registered conference attendees.
